This is a fanfiction of AngelGunBoy's Downed*Angel original fiction. I read all his stories at one go and then I had to write this while I was traveling on vacation, and it pretty much came out like this. I'd been to New Orleans that spring, and Gabe told me that Immer was from those parts, though Baton Rouge is a ways away...

I learned later that my take on the Loa was actually exactly as written by one Mr. Sean Stewart in his lovely Mockingbird. I love that book, I'll admit, and I'm not surprised that I unconsciously "borrowed" them for this. I like his Riders the way they are. So there's two disclaimers on this one.
